Welcome to this Guide to Lebanon !

This first section of the guide will take you through general information on this small country standing at the crossroads of three major continents: Lubnan in Arabic.

The Facts give you basic information while the Travel Essentials list main travelers' hints. Lebanon lies to the east of the Mediterranean, sharing borders in the north and the east with Syria, and in the south with Israel. It is a mountainous country and enjoys an essentially Mediterranean climate with mild, rainy winters and long warm summers.

The Lebanese are a multi-faith and multi-ethnic people. Arabic is the official language, but English and French are also widely spoken in Lebanon, where the two main religions are Islam and Christianity.

Lebanon is a democratic republic with a parliamentary system of government and a cabinet.

Night Life in Lebanon is present everywhere, especially in Beirut.

Moreover, Lebanon's crucial weather have always captivated tourists from all over the world. It is the only country where you can ski in the morning and go to the beach in the afternoon. The Mediterranean is at its best, many sports are available such as water skiing, scuba diving, wind surfing, jet skiing as well as winter sports such as skiing, surfing, snow boarding...
